Hi, I’m Dr Jerry Zhou.
I’m a clinical researcher, patient advocate, and co-founder of Amazing Gut
Having worked for 15 years in gut health at Western Sydney University, Camden Hospital & Blacktown Hospital, I’ve come to realise that all too often, physicians, society, even our loved ones downplay, dimisse, or even gaslight the effects of gut-brain disorders.
But for over 3.2 billion individuals with a gut-brain axis diorder, they are real and debilitating.
Building Our Tech
To create Ins&Outs, I teamed up with my friend and colleague, Prof. Bahman Javadi and his team at the Smart and Distributed Computing (SDC) lab at WSU School of Computing, Data & Mathematical Sciences.
We took a concept and developed the revoluionary technology that allowed clinical biofeedback to be done safely and effectively from home.

In 2025, I joined gastroenterologist, Dr Vincent Ho, to start Amazing Gut. A spin-out company created from our world leading gut-brain axis research centre at Western Sydney University.
Our mission is to turn decades of functional gut research into life-changing products for our patients.
